On 6 March, the Minister of Transport of Russia Maxim Sokolov signed the order to set up the programme committee for the 6th International Ports and Shipping Conference and the 14th TRANSTEC Exhibition. The events will take place at Lenexpo on 9–11 October.

The biggest hookah exhibition in the world, the Hookah Club Show, was held on 10-11 March in St. Petersburg. More than 6,000 tobacco product connoisseurs with more than 500 hookahs operating for them assembled under one roof.

More than 1,300 music and movie fans came to the ExpoForum on 9 March. The State Symphony Orchestra of the Leningrad Region “Tavrichesky” performed here for the first time with “The Film Music Chefs d’oeuvre” concert.

Today, the Worldskills Europe General Assembly unanimously voted at its meeting in Budapest for St. Petersburg to host of the European Championship in professional skills - EuroSkills 2022, and the ExpoForum Convention & Exhibition Centre will be the championship venue.

The plenary meeting of the 2nd St. Petersburg International Labour Forum took place on 2 March at the ExpoForum on the topic “Labour of the Future: Talents, Technologies, Creativity”. The experts assessed global processes in economy, science and society and the consequences of digitization for the training and retraining system in Russia and all over the world.

Labour of the Future is the main topic at the 2nd St. Petersburg International Labour Forum, which opened at the ExpoForum Convention & Exhibition Centre on 1 March. The Forum combines roundtables and conferences on nine activities: from regulation, macroeconomics and corporations of the future to HR technologies, generation Z, education and occupational safety. “Human Resources. Management. Safety 2018” exhibits modern working clothes, footwear and equipment.
