On July 28, 2021, a meeting of the organizing committee of the EXPOTECHNOSTRAZH 2021 exhibition was held. The meeting was opened by Alexey Bezzubikov, Deputy Director of the Federal Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, Commander-in-Chief of the National Guard of the Russian Federation. He noted the importance of the upcoming event, which shall take place in the year of the 5th anniversary of the National Guard of Russia and the 210th anniversary of the Internal Guard, the predecessor of the modern troops of the National Guard.

Reports on the preparation process for the exhibition were made by Vyacheslav Selivanov, Acting Head of the Department of Technology and Research Activities; Yuri Martsenyuk, Acting Head of the Research Department of the Department of Technology and Research Activities; Sergey Voronkov, General Director of EF International LLC. The General Director of the company which was the exhibition operator focused on the well-coordinated work that had been carried out over the past period by the employees of the National Guard of Russia and the company in preparation for the event, which speaks of confidence in its high level and quality.

During the discussion of the exhibition program Olga Goryshina, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of St. Petersburg, spoke about the organizational efforts and preparation of the exposition and exhibition program of the city by the Government of St. Petersburg. Sergey Ryabov, Senior Adviser of the Department for New Challenges and Threats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, noted that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs shall make every effort to successfully organize diplomatic visits to the exhibition and events of the business and presentation program of foreign delegations, representatives of Embassies and trade missions at the request of the National Guard of Russia.

During the meeting, decisions were made to expand the exhibition topics and the scientific and business program with the sections “Technical means of ensuring security”, “Ensuring comprehensive security of municipal services, housing and communal services and territorial complexes”, “Security services”, “Ensuring security at enterprises of the fuel and energy complex”, the formation of a cultural and presentation program, and also discussed the general organizational issues of the event.

The Organizing Committee proposed to the State Corporation Rosatom and the State Corporation Rostec to prepare expositions according to the thematic clusters of the exhibition. 

It was also decided to study the possibility of holding, jointly with the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, measures for the safety of cultural heritage and cultural institutions, and jointly with the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, on the participation of the Ministry's specialists in the scientific and business program of the exhibition on transport safety and safety of transport infrastructure.

The Advanced Research Fund shall assist in the preparation of the scientific and business program of the exhibition in the field of robotics.

It was noted as one of the important advantages of the event that in parallel with the EXPOTECHNOSTRAZH 2021 exhibition, the Expoforum shall host traditional major industry events aimed at developing industry: the St. Petersburg International Innovation Forum and the Russian Industrialist International Forum.
