Agrorus Fair is open

On August 25, the opening ceremony of the grandiose harvest festival for the whole family – Agrorus-2023 agricultural fair – took place in the open space in front of Pavilion G at EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Leonid Kalaev, Head of the External Relations Department of the Association “Union of Farmers of Leningrad Region” thanked the farmers who came to St. Petersburg from other regions and said that from August 30, the fair of farmers of the Leningrad region will join Agrorus.

Head of “Orthodox Russia” Victoria Sochneva noted that this is the first time the exhibition-sale is held together with Agrorus, but these two events have a lot in common. These are two of St. Petersburg’s oldest projects with more than 30 years of history. Both are truly people’s events, dearly loved by attendees.

Alexander Gorokhov, Deputy General Director for Commerce at ExpoForum International, spoke at the end of the ceremony.

“We’ve been getting together for 32 years. It’s a whole era. Neither the pandemic nor any other cataclysms forced us to cancel Agrorus. I especially thank the farmers and visitors who have continuously been with us all this time.

At the fair we have more than 250 farmers from all over Russia, from Kaliningrad to the Far East. The choice is abundant, you can find everything from fish, meats and cheeses to seedlings and honey. “Honey is the symbol of the fair, and the beloved ‘People’s Tasting’ contest will be held on August 27, where everyone will be able to choose their favorite among countless varieties,” Gorokhov said.

Alexander Feliksovich also presented to the public a new mascot of the exhibition – the white and fluffy AgroGus. The Goose declared that he had come to save the fair from bad weather and trouble, just as his brothers had once saved Rome.

The goose can be touched, squeezed, hugged, high-fived, photographed, having a great time in a great mood.

Agrorus Fair runs from August 25 to September 3. Free shuttle buses take guests to EXPOFORUM every 20 minutes from Moskovskaya metro station.
