13th International Forum Weather. Climate. Water to take place in ExpoForum on July 20–21

The 13th International Forum Weather. Climate. Water became a meeting venue for the leading specialists of the industry in St. Petersburg. The participants discuss what is happening with the weather in the Arctic, why to determine the wind chart and how to give an accurate long-term forecast.

In 2022, the professional community is celebrating three anniversaries at once: 85th anniversary of the start of regular scientific observations in the Arctic at the North Pole drifting stations, 25th anniversary of hydrometeorology, climate and environmental monitoring in Russia and CIS, and 10th anniversary of Roshydromet Climate Centre.

The forum and exhibition are also timed to the commissioning of the North Pole ice-resistant platform – an outstanding achievement of domestic science and technology. The commissioning of the North Pole platform will be a tremendous success for Roshydromet and a confirmation of Russia’s leadership in a wide range of scientific and technological fields.

The 13th International Climatic Forum Weather. Climate. Water will showcase a new mobile complex which helps determine the most accurate wind chart. Such information is needed, for example, to plan the construction of a new airport or factory.

Besides, experts from around the country discuss global climate change, weather dependency, how to predict the weather, import substitution, the “green” economy and much more.
