The 10th Anniversary Saint Petersburg International Gas Forum Will Take Place in 2021

The event will take place on October 5–8.

Organizers of the Forum carefully analysed the situation with pandemic development in Russia and in the world, the issue of opening borders and renewal of international flights and made a decision to hold the 10th anniversary Saint Petersburg International Gas Forum on October 5–8, 2021.

A transferal of SPIGF to 2021 is a reasoned and balanced decision. At the moment the epidemiological situation is extremely unstable, so borders of most countries will remain closed and there are no prerequisites for renewal of international tourism, business one as well, for now.

To provide the best possible conditions for discussion and efficient interaction of participants from the gas industry is the main task set for organizers of the Forum. EXPOFORUM is fully prepared for convention and exhibition activities and successfully implement events that have been planned before, but events of such a scale as the Saint Petersburg International Gas Forum that gather together participants from different countries on one venue require absolute confidence in the future.

SPIGF dates back to 2011, and this time it will celebrate its anniversary, which means the event gets a special resonance and must meet with the highest requirements.

The Saint Petersburg International Gas Forum gathers together representatives of the oil and gas industry from all across the world on its venue and forms a strong basis for development of international cooperation. Presence of foreign experts is an important element, so preservation of traditional geography of SPIGF is critical.

"Now everyone monitors the epidemiologic situation and tries to understand how the scenario will unfold, so the decision to transfer SPIGF 2020 to 2021 is predictable. Interest of the international gas community to the country that possesses the largest reserves of natural gas in the world is constantly growing. The Saint Petersburg International Gas Forum is a venue with a narrative dedicated not only to development of the Russian gas market, but global tendencies for development of oil and gas industry. Holding the Forum later will allow providing maximum attendance of participants and demonstrate all the implied potential of the event", – Sergey Voronkov, CEO of ExpoForum International, noted.
