Vitaly Markelov and Alexander Dyukov were presented new developments of domestic companies at the Gas Forum

Vitaly Markelov, Deputy Chairman of the Gazprom Management Board, Alexander Dyukov, CEO and Chairman of the Gazprom Neft Management Board, Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as heads and top managers of the largest Russian companies in the oil and gas sector and the engineering industry took part in the tour of the exposition of the XI St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

The inspection began with a visit to the corporate exhibition Import Substitution in the gas industry.

Titan-Barricades Volgograd FSPC presented a hydraulic fracturing complex designed for the extraction of hard-to-recover oil and gas reserves, which was developed by order of Gazprom Neft. Yuri Solomonov, First Deputy General Director, General Designer of JSC Corporation Moscow Institute of Thermal Engineering, whose structure includes the Volgograd enterprise, told the heads of the largest oil and gas companies in Russia about the history of the creation of a unique complex and its advantages.

Evgeny Pronin, Director of Gas Engine Technology at KAMAZ PJSC, held a presentation of the KAMAZ-6250 all-wheel drive shift bus, designed specifically for Gazprom. The novelty has an original modern design and can be equipped with any internal combustion engine with a capacity of 290 hp (diesel, CNG or CNG), a six-speed automatic transmission. The bus body has a power frame made of steel pipes, an external lining made of composite, and the "mask" of the car is somewhat similar to KAMAZ trucks of the latest fifth generation. The bus accommodates 32 passengers, the interior is equipped with comfortable seats and air conditioning. Vitaly Markelov and Alexander Dyukov inspected the interior of the bus, the cabin and highly appreciated the novelty of Russian machine builders.

Immediately after that, the delegation inspected another development of the domestic machine-building industry: the first Russian offshore helicopter Mi-171A3, created by engineers and designers of the Russian Helicopters holding. On the eve of the helicopter successfully completed its first long-distance flight: a flight from the Moscow site of the M.L. Mil and N.I. Kamov National Helicopter Centre to the St. Petersburg ExpoForum. A short tour of the new Mi-171A3 was conducted by the chief designer of the helicopter Sergey Kayumov. He said that the new car is designed for passenger transportation and search and rescue operations, can carry up to 24 people and is equipped with an emergency landing system, due to which the helicopter can stay afloat in a five-point storm. The flight range of the Mi-171A3 reaches 1 thousand kilometres.

The attention of the official delegation was attracted by an unusual object: a life-size mock-up of a satellite for remote sensing of the earth. This is a proprietary development of Gazprom Space Systems JSC, explained Dmitry Sevastyanov, CEO of the company. According to him, this is the first methane search satellite in Russia and in the world with a resolution of 50 cm. With its help, gas industry companies will be able to reliably monitor the state of the infrastructure and instantly record unauthorized methane emissions. The satellite launch is scheduled for 2026.

After that, Vitaly Markelov and Rustam Minnikhanov took part in several online events to launch new infrastructure facilities: automobile gas filling stations and low tonnage LNG complexes.

The opening of the first LNG filling station in Kalmykia took place at the stand of Gazprom Gas Motor Fuel. The station started operating in the capital of the region, Elista. "We are glad to welcome the Republic of Kalmykia to our gas engine network," Vitaly Markelov greeted the audience. The head of Kalmykia, Batu Hasikov, thanked Gazprom for an important project for the region and noted that he considers the transition to a new fuel, LNG, to be an important event for Kalmykia. "We are a transit region, and the optimization of the process of refueling vehicles will become one of the drivers of the development of the economy of Kalmykia", stressed Batu Hasikov, noting that in 2023 the construction of two more gas stations will begin in the republic.

Vitaly Markelov and Rustam Minnikhanov also pressed the symbolic "start" buttons and launched two low-tonnage natural gas liquefaction complexes in Tatarstan at once. The first project, LNGC Sadilovo in the Vysokogorsky district, was implemented by Gazprom LNG Technologies LLC. Now the plant's capacity is 1.5 tons of LNG per hour, or 12 thousand tons of LNG per year, and the company plans to increase production volumes. "This project is important for the whole republic, it will contribute to economic growth and improve the environmental situation," stressed Rustam Minnikhanov. "Transport companies are waiting for the appearance of more LNG refueling stations. The transition to environmentally friendly fuel is important from the point of view of the economy, ecology and contributes to improving the safety of drivers," said Vitaly Markelov. In 2022-2023, five more new gas stations are planned to be built in Tatarstan.

Vitaly Markelov and Rustam Minnikhanov opened another low-tonnage LNGC in Tyulyachinsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan. This complex has the same capacity as the Sadilovo complex, the initiator of this project was TopGaz LLC. Simultaneously with the new LNG plant, the first cryoGFS was opened in Naberezhnye Chelny. "Let this be the beginning of our journey towards gas engine fuel", said Rustam Minnikhanov.

Several novelties in the field of transport were also presented to the participants of the tour. Gazpromtrans has presented a mock-up of a new gas-powered shunting locomotive TEMG1. Its feature is two gas piston engines with a total capacity of 1.12 thousand hp and a modular body design, as well as an automatic engine operation control system. The indicators of CO2 emissions into the atmosphere of such a locomotive are 15.7 tons per year, which is 2 times lower than that of a locomotive running on diesel fuel: 28 tons per year. Almaz-Antey Concern has brought to the PMGF-2022 the platform of a new hybrid crossover ENEVA, which can run on both electricity and LNG.

At the outdoor exposition of the Exposition Forum, Vitaly Markelov welcomed the participants of the rally of gas-powered vehicles "Gas to motors – 2022". They started on August 2 in Vladivostok and travelled more than 10 thousand km in a little more than a month, using liquefied natural gas as fuel.

At the end of the tour of the SPIGF-2022 exposition, Vitaly Markelov visited the stand of Gazprom's subsidiary, Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk. He got acquainted with the results of the company's long-term successful activities, examined the model of a residential building assembled at the stand, which symbolizes the successes and strategic task of Gazprom Transgaz Tomsk: improving the quality of residents of the region, and wished the company's managers and employees fruitful work in the future.
