Security exhibition gets underway in St. Petersburg

On 10-12 November, ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre was the meeting place for more than 150 companies from 8 countries, coming together to showcase the latest innovations in security systems at the 24th International Exhibition of Security and Fire-Protection Equipment and Products – Sfitex/Securika.

“Since its inception, the Sfitex/Securika exhibition has earned its rightful recognition as the largest, most authoritative platform in St. Petersburg and the Northwest Region, where industry experts come together to discuss critical security concerns,” noted Igor Ryapolov – Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Committee for Law and Order at the expo’s opening ceremonies. “On display here are the industry’s latest advancements, while the packed business programme offers representatives of leading companies and enterprises the opportunity to share their expertise, express their opinions on pressing issues of the sector’s ongoing development, and present robust responses to today’s greatest security challenges.” The speaker also noted that issues of public safety are always at the forefront of the city’s concerns, with executive agencies paying close attention to related security considerations.

Sfitex/Securika 2015 showcased more than 300 innovations in terms of security equipment, video monitoring and surveillance systems, fire-safety systems and equipment, communications and PA systems, and data-protection hardware and software. The exposition is traditionally accompanied by a packed business programme, in which industry experts discuss pressing area issues, sharing their achievements and experiences with colleagues. The exhibition is held with the support of the St. Petersburg City Government, the RF Federal Security Service, the RF Federal Service for Technical and Export Control, and the RF Emergency Situations Ministry.
