A new meat processing plant will be built in the Leningrad Region
The agreement on cooperation in construction of a full-cycle meat processing plant was signed on August 30, at the 33rd International Agroindustrial Exhibition «Agrorus 2024», between the Committee for Agriculture of the Leningrad Region and OP MPC Norilsky LLC.
«We are ready to provide production facilities and state support for construction of the plant, since the Leningrad Region is now interested in significantly increasing the production of meat and meat products», said Oleg Malashchenko, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Leningrad Region, Chairman of the Committee on Agroindustrial and Fishery Complex.
According to the document signed by Oleg Malashchenko and Aleksander Kirillov, General Director of OP MPC Norilsky LLC, the company located in St. Petersburg will build a new production facility in Vsevolozhsky District of the Leningrad Region.
The new plant with its area of 4,000 m2 will produce 2.4 thousand metric tons of annual products per year. The cost of the project is 200 million rubles. It is planned to create 150 jobs within the project.
The production site of OP MPC Norilsky LLC is located in St. Petersburg. The company has been operating in the meat processing industry for more than 10 years. It produces food products, including those using the sous vide technology (vacuum packaging), under the brands of eco-friendly product lines of major retailers and premium stores.
