The 10th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum ends in ExpoForum

The forum was held from June 29 to July 1, and welcomed almost three thousand participants. ExpoForum hosted the project for the first time

The country’s leading lawyers, experts and specialists in law and jurisprudence gathered in St. Petersburg at the Jubilee St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, an influential platform for professional discussion on a wide range of issues related to the history of law and its development in the modern world.

The forum was visited by 45 foreign delegations: Austria, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Turkey, Egypt, India, Iran, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan and other countries.

The event was also attended by more than 20 officials, including Russian Minister of Justice Konstantin Chuichenko and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.

The event was held offline for the first time in two years. The theme of the international legal forum was “Staying within the Law”, which is especially relevant during the current global changes when it comes to protecting national interests. The business program of the Forum was structured into 6 thematic tracks, each focusing on a wide range of topical legal issues: “Law, Business, and Sanctions”, “People and Law”, “Law and Legal Order: Values and Principles in the Context of Current Global Challenges”, “Law in International Relations”, “Digital Transformation”, “Human Resources Are Key”, “Control, Oversight, and Regulation”, “Justice and Litigation”.

Over four days, 100 events were held, including 24 sessions of the International Youth Legal Forum. In the course of numerous discussions on the modernization of law in the interests of individuals and the society, representatives of the legal, business, political, and law enforcement communities worked to develop common approaches to their solution in the contemporary world.
