The famous TV presenter and his team came to the flagship project of EF-International Ltd: the XI St. Petersburg International Gas Forum. What interesting things he found at SPIGF-22, Malozemov himself told.

"I'm doing a program on NTV about high technology. Here we were attracted by one of the developments: laser welding technology on large diameter pipes, which make up large main gas pipelines. This technology has not been used anywhere in the world yet. Thanks to the achievements of Russian science, fiber lasers with high efficiency are used in it, which allow welding to be performed much faster, while using less metal and obtaining a thinner seam that does not lose strength. This gives a number of advantages: saving materials, preserving the pipe ductility. The seam thickness is smaller and a smaller amount of metal is exposed to overheating. The pipe retains the properties of its main material. This allows it, for example, to bend when it is laid from a ship to underwater gas pipelines. But there is no such application yet, it is only in the plans.

Now the development is undergoing pilot production tests on real gas pipelines. I talked to the welders who are the first to master this technology. Young enthusiastic guys from universities and Gazprom specialists say that they see great prospects in this technology, which is not so effective now," said Malozemov in an interview with the press service of EF-International Ltd.

He appreciated the popular presenter and the advantages of the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre.

"I have been to ExpoForum more than once. I like to visit here, because everything is very convenient here from the congress and exhibition point of view: navigation, parking, everything you need for effective work at exhibitions. Now there are more food outlets. One of my projects is related to food, and I look at it with a professional eye and see that ExpoForum is following the wishes of the exhibitors here. Those who work at the stands and journalists are often at exhibitions from morning to evening, and we need to keep working, for this food is important, like little else," added Malozemov.
