Points of Dialogue — the 5th Russian-Chinese Business Forum

On June 14, the 5th anniversary Russian-Chinese Business Forum opened on the venue of the St. Petersburg State Economic University. On the threshold of SPIEF-2022, colleagues from two countries will discuss today’s economic and political challenges as well as the concept of a Greater Eurasian Partnership.

The 5th Russian-Chinese Business Forum is held in difficult times for the entire world. Many countries are to work out comprehensive development strategies at a time when traditional economic trade ties and logistics chain are broken. The global trends for development of the economy are also changing. Perhaps, it is the Eastern Vector that will soon define the entire agenda and help Russia to overcome the sanction movement.

This year the Forum is dedicated to the search of means for actual cooperation between entrepreneurs of two countries. Russian and Chinese speakers and experts will share best practices, provide some information to consider and answer a few practical questions:

  • Why mediators are respected so much in the East?
  • Finding a partner in China: is help necessary?
  • Logistics 2022 or how to deliver a container?
  • Rubles, dollars, euros, yuans?
  • The East is tricky: is it all about people?

Also, the formats of China’s participation in Russian exhibitions and conventions will be discussed. For many years already, this country has been a reliable partner for such large industrial projects as the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, the Russian International Energy Forum, the Russian Industrialist International Forum, the AGRORUS International Agro-Industrial Exhibition, the NEVA International Maritime Exhibition and Conference for Commercial Shipping, Shipbuilding, Offshore Energy, Ports, Inland Waterways and Oceanography.

Russian and Chinese businessmen and representatives of companies participate in the event:

  • Dmitry Panov, a Chairman of St. Petersburg regional office of the Business Russia All-Russia Public Organization;
  • Ekaterina Lebedeva, Vice President of St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
  • Li Jiguang, Director of the Department for Promotion of Investments of the Yangling Agricultural Hi-Tech Industries Demonstration Zone Administrative Committee (Shanxi Province, PRC);
