Cloning technologies and drones: media accreditation for the Exhibition «Agrorus 2024» has been opened
6,500 visitors, over 100 companies from Russia, Belarus, China, Turkey, unique novelties, contests and the rich convention program. On August 28–30, the EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Center will host the 33rd International Agroindustrial Exhibition «Agrorus 2024».
«Agrorus» is one of the oldest and most authoritative events in the agricultural sector. The project is aimed at developing agroindustrial infrastructure, and ensuring food security in the Northwestern Federal District and the entire country. Issues of expanding interregional and international cooperation will have a special place in the «Agrorus 2024» program.
«Agrorus» is visited by top officials of the Russian agroindustrial complex, heads of federal and regional authorities, heads of relevant organizations and departments, representatives of business, as well as scientific community. In 2024, over 6,000 guests are expected.
MEDIA ACCREDITATION IS AVAILABLE UNDER THE LINK
Traditional participants in the international section are Belarus and China. This year, Turkey and Kazakhstan will join them. The Russian agroindustrial complex is represented by 35 regions – from the Leningrad Region to the Amur one. St. Petersburg, the Republic of Dagestan, as well as the Novosibirsk and Leningrad Regions present their collective expositions. Region 47 is represented by enterprises from all 17 districts. In total, there will be more than 100 companies at the Exhibition.
Among unique novelties:
- Microbiological preparations for crop production and animal husbandry;
- Stainless-steel food processing equipment;
- Potato planters and cultivators;
- Storage and transportation systems for bulk materials;
- Veterinary drugs and vaccines against carnivorous plague, parvovirus and coronavirus enterites, adenovirus infection, rabies, panleukopenia, calicivirosis and viral rhinotracheitis (Federal Center for Animal Health);
- Digital online farmland maps;
- Safe fertilizers of prolonged release for increasing productivity of crops;
- Animal embryo transplantation developments, developments of the microclonal propagation laboratory, unmanned aircraft systems for agriculture.
There are over 30 business events to be planned at «Agrorus 2024». The key events include:
- Plenary Session «Trends in Agriculture Development. Prospection»;
- AgroForum «Young Scientists and Active Youth. Development of Agriculture, Rural Tourism and Rural Areas» (Organizers: ANO «SOBYTIE»; St. Petersburg State Agricultural University, with the support of the Committee for Youth Policy and Interaction with Public Organizations);
- Conference «Development of Agriculture and Agroindustry in BRICS and BRICS+»;
- International Conference «Breeding, Seed Production and Technologies for Cultivation of Agricultural Plants. Traditions and Prospects»;
- Panel Discussion «Modernization of Educational and Working Environment in the Agricultural Sector: How to Involve High-Potential Graduates of Schools and Universities in the Agricultural Industry»;
- International Forum on Rural Tourism, with participation of representatives of Serbia and Montenegro.

The Business Contact Center will be open for 2 days at the Exhibition (August 28 – Retail Day, large retail chains; August 29 – HoReCa Day, restaurants, hotels, cafes). Over 500 direct negotiations of suppliers and manufacturers with the largest customers of the domestic market are planned.
On August 29, the award ceremony for winners of the «One May Buy» Competition held by the St. Petersburg public organization of consumers «Public Control» will take place. The competition will identify food products on the shelves of stores in the North-West that fully comply with all declared norms and standards.
On August 30, the «Golden Medal» Competition held under the auspices of Russia’s Ministry of Agriculture will identify the best manufacturers and service providers in the agroindustrial sector. Large enterprises, farms, private individuals and research organizations may participate, as well.
Events
- August 28 – City Day of Gardener (St. Petersburg);
- August 29 – Show of traditional outfits of the Russian North of the 18th – 20th centuries;
- August 30 – Day of the Leningrad Region, with participation of Aleksander Drozdenko, the region’s Governor. Agreements on developing the agroindustrial complex of the Leningrad Region are expected to be signed. Last year, the region signed 18 agreements worth 11 billion rubles;
- August 30 – Freshman Day: over 1,000 first-year students will be solemnly initiated into students of St. Petersburg State Agrarian University.
From August 28 to September 8 – the Agricultural Fair «Agrorus». Natural products from Russia’s leading farms.
