“Dance, Russia!” in the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre
On May 15, the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre will host a qualifying round of the competition in the framework of the All-Russian “Dance, Russia!” contest-festival supported by the Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives.
The competition will be held between dancing couples from 7 to 18 years old and solo performers from 5 to 12 years old, to be rated in five categories.
“Dance, Russia!” contest-festival is not just a competition; it is a project about values such as family, friendship, patriotism, determination and diligence, healthy lifestyle and aesthetics.
The festival’s headliners are popular stage and film actors: Stanislav Duzhnikov, Ekaterina Volkova and Anna Frolovtseva, known from “The Voronins” family TV series. The guests will also see the performance of choreographer Vitaly Ulivanov, winner of Season 4 Dance show on TNT, and choreographer Yuliana Kobtseva, semifinalist of Season 1 New Dance show on TNT.
The contest’s organizer is Alexei Silde, head coach of the Russian national dance sport team.
Five qualifying rounds will take part in the framework of the festival in five cities of the country. They will be accompanied by workshops of famous dancers, choreographers and actors.
First qualifying rounds have already been held in Nizhny Novgorod and Novosibirsk. The third round will take place on May 15 in St. Petersburg at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre. Then the contest will be held in Krasnodar, and the finals and awarding ceremony in Moscow.
On May 15 at 12:00, a press conference with the headliners and organizers of the project will be held at the festival’s site.
