The Western sanctions have helped Russia develop its industry
Development of special equipment for the gas industry has become a breakthrough, this was confirmed by the Street Exhibition to be organized as part of the SPIGF-2023.
The outdoor exhibition resembled a futuristic vehicles show. One of the most impressive exhibits is the 90-ton BELAZ-7558H dump truck. Its feature is combining reliability and power with high performance (fuel economy reaches 35%), eco-friendliness (the dump truck is LNG-powered), reduced maintenance costs (the vehicles are supplied immediately with the infrastructure) and the increase in the gas-engine service life.
Comparing diesel and gas operating modes, Sergey Nikiforovich, CEO of «BELAZ», stressed, «Given constant increase in the diesel fuel price and the stable cost of LNG, annual savings from the BELAZ-7558N operation can reach 10 million Russian rubles per unit of equipment».
The Forum over, the dump truck will be returned in the batch of 10 similar gas vehicles to have already been contracted by one of the Kuzbass coal companies.
The Perm plant «Synergia» presented another giant – the mobile complex for drilling main boreholes equipped with the electric drive. The efficiency of the electric drive is higher than that of a diesel one, it is more eco-friendly and does not require frequent maintenance; moreover, the entire complex is more compact. Mikhail Simanovich, the plant’s Lead Engineer, noted the main feature of the prototype, “The complex is fully equipped with Russian-made parts: its semi-trailer, its mast – everything is ours. And its winch with the lifting capacity of 250 metric tons is the development of «Synergia» and our pride. I am sure, appearance of this project will push the entire industry to switching to electric drilling rigs».
The unique technology, which is used nowhere else in the world, – laser welding of casing pipes – was presented at the exhibition stand by «Avangard Nefteservis» (Bashkortostan). The whole world screws pipes with conical threads. It is expensive, not durable enough and not always airtight. «Avangard Nefteservis», together with RPO “IRE-Polyus” (Moscow), came up with the idea of welding pipes with the fiber laser, at the same speed as screwing. This results in the weld more durable than the pipe body itself. “I hope this technology will become the most popular in the world in the coming years», expressed Sergey Kopylov, the chief designer of the project, his hope. ««Tatneft» has already bought two such installations, and 120 columns have been lowered underground for
9 months of this year, and in general, 30 can be lowered with two installations every month, and almost 400 columns annually».
The “FID” Group, as well as SZAO “FIDMASH”, brought heavy-duty coiled tubing installations to St. Petersburg. “We made the first such installation, however, of a lighter class, for the first time, and supplied it to “Gazprom Podzemremont Urengoy” in 1999. Since then, we have supplied “Gazprom” enterprises with 35 units of coiled tubing equipment», says Elena Novak, Deputy Director for Innovative Projects at «MashOil». “The Russian installation differs by applying the automated control systems in accordance with a given algorithm, which eliminates operator errors, damage to the well and the environment, as well as unforeseen situations at the well. Nowhere in the world you will find automation on such an installation”.
«Russian developers have constantly complicated the capacity of drilling options on these machines, and now drilling of side shafts is available by using them. The length of the steel pipe winding on the body increased to 5.5 thousand meters, and the diameter of the pipe itself increased to
44 mm”, said Sergey Yurenko, Deputy Director for Business Development, Head of the Sales Department at “FIDMASH”. He is sure that this is not the limit.
The manufacturer «VolgoInvest» and the Group of Copanies «Kudesnik» brought to the Forum exposition the excavator-planner UDS-224, designed on the KAMAZ-43118 rolling chassis, specifically for operating in the oil and gas industry. The UDS-224 model (it will enter mass production in April 2024) can operate over long distances, it has a smaller turning radius and higher maneuverability, the design provides for the engine conversion to CNG and LNG, and the driver’s cabin is equipped with air conditioning and the video audio system.
Other manufacturers of specialized vehicles began to think about the workers’ comfort. More comfortable driver’s cabins have been developed in another model for gas production – in the only self-propelled mulcher
TLP-4M-038 mass-produced in Russia. Since 2014, «our response to the sanctions” has been produced by the Barnaul company «Sibir-Tekhnika», and operates all over Russia: more than 300 vehicles clear the exclusion zones of gas and oil pipelines to get them rid of excess woody and shrubby vegetation and create fire-fighting strips in the forest, effectively mulching tree trunks up to 30 cm in diameter.
The Tyumen Machine-Building Plant «Toir» took care of the comfort of the chief’s workplace, which manufactured a conceptual wagon-house for the chief’s work at the fields remote from the infrastructure. Quality of the mobile structure allows comparing the 10-meter house on the chassis with a comfortable hotel: there are a designer office area, a kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom unit. Evgenia Suprotivina, Commercial Director at the plant «Toir», specifies, «Almost 95% of everything you can see in this house is made by our hands at our plant. The car is fully autonomous, equipped with water tanks, septic tank; it is connected to the generator, but, if necessary, we can equip it at least with a wood-burning stove2.
Another worthy response to the sanctions is the development of
JSC “RUMO”: Russia’s first gas-piston power plant RUMO-702, with the block-container design with its capacity of 1 MW, powered by natural gas. The power plant is designed on the basis of the RUMO-502 gas-piston internal combustion engine, it is the company’s own patented development manufactured at the plant in Nizhny Novgorod. Besides, at the
SPIGF-2023, “RUMO” presented the power part of the 6PK32 piston compressor, with its capacity of 4 MW. The compressor was developed by the chief designer’s service at the plant, and is also patented.
The SPIGF-2023 outdoor exposition brought together advanced models of technology. The theme of import substitution was heard from all the Exhibition venues. Upgraded AMIR 3X backhoe loaders, wheeled bulldozers and road vehicles of “Lonmadi” JSC, the latest technical developments of “Techno-Centre”, products of the Alapaevsky Drilling Machine Plant «Stroydormash» and the Altai manufacturer of tracked and wheeled vehicles «Altailesmash» are vivid examples of the technical progress to be experiencing rapid and effective changes, in spite of severe restrictions.
