Spend a weekend in the world of cats!

On May 14–15, the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre will host a long-awaited event for the whole family – the “World of Cats” exhibition. More than 800 whiskered purrs will fight for the titles of champions – the best representatives of their breeds. Beyond admiring the kitties, you can also buy a fluffy friend for yourself or adopt a pet from the shelter. There will be contests, lectures, workshops, and even a mini disco!

The exhibition will showcase both popular and rare breeds of cats and kittens, such as Burma, Chartreuse, Cornish Rex, Devon Rex, Exots, Persians, Kuril Bobtails, Maine Coon, Neva Masquerades, Norwegian Forest, Oriental, Ragdoll, Russian Blue, Birman, Siberian, Abyssinian, Bengal, Burmilla, British, British long-haired and many others.

He- and she-cats will come to the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre’s exhibition from four clubs: “Catclub”, “Kotofey”, “Varieta”, and “Amur-Neva”. The pets will be judged according to four international systems: FIFE, WCF, WACC, and FARUS. Every day at 17:00 the jury will choose and award the best he- and she-cats of the exhibition!

You will learn how the clubs operate and meet owners of your favourite cat breed. Every day there will be quizzes with valuable gifts for you and your pets, fun games for young visitors, and on May 14 at 17:30 there will be a mini disco!

The legendary St. Petersburg cafe Cats Republic will take part in the project. It will host an exhibition “WildArt. Wild cats in the Cats Republic”. Don’t miss a chance to look into the wonderful world of rare wild felines of Russia – a display of artistic images of snow leopards, lynxes, and Pallas' cats. The paintings are made in different techniques and styles, but each of them emphasizes the unique and authentic character of the represented animals. Most of the wild cats are on the verge of extinction and are listed in the Red Book. The exhibition aims to highlight the beauty of nature and remind of the fragility and vulnerability of the world around us.

On May 14 in the presentation area, meet the famous Hermitage predictor cat Achilles – pet star #1 in Russia! During the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, Achilles predicted match winners with almost one hundred percent accuracy.

Traditionally for the zoo exhibitions, “The Way Home” charity project will take place at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre. Art exhibition “Kotovasia” will be among its events. Creative works by the participants of the “New Day” International Festival of Naive Art will be presented. In the creative workshops of the project, everyone can make their own Mary Poppins’ magic umbrella, cat masks, macaroni beads, dream catchers, homemade soap, toys for cats and much more.

Interactive stage of “The Way Home” festival will accommodate lectures by animal psychologists, felinologists, volunteers from shelters, representatives of veterinary clinics and laboratories, as well as the project organizers. You will learn how to help a cat cope with stress and adapt to a new home, how to care for newborn kittens, what is an animal blood bank and how it works. “Boomerang of goodness” dance flash mob for kids and adults will take place.

Most importantly, the festival will display he- and she-cats from shelters of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region. If you've been wanting to become a “cat parent” or do charity work for animals, this is your chance!

Come to the “Cat World” exhibition with your pet – in case he or she has a vaccination certificate.
