To Sit Behind the Wheel of the Tigr, Provide First Aid and Refresh Yourself at the Field Kitchen

All this and much more can be done by the guests of the Cultural and Patriotic Event “The People’s Power” to be held as part of the Festival “The Russians Are Changing the World” at the EXPOFORUM on February 23–24.

The program of the event “The People’s Power” began with OMON members’ demonstration performances in hand-to-hand combating. Athletic men in uniform demonstrated to the visitors the methods of hand-to-hand combat, self-defense and elements of detention. The fighters’ demos alternated with the performances of dog handlers from the Northwestern District of Rosgvardiya with their service dogs. On command, the animals demonstrated searching for explosives in passengers’ hand luggage at airports and train stations, as well as detaining an armed criminal who’s got a hostage. After the performance, the spectators surrounded the military, for learning more about their service and ensuring the safety of St. Petersburg residents.

Attention of the audience, among which there are many military from various units and cadets, with their green, sand, blue and black uniforms to flash before eyes, is focused on the stage. The men deftly maneuver among another considerable part of the audience – families with children. Everyone’s eyes are attracted by numerous military equipment located next to the demonstration site. Armored vehicles Patrol, Tigr, an all-terrain vehicle Patriot and a mobile complex for the search and neutralization of explosive objects ARAKS – all the equipment is open, anyone can climb into the driver’s cabin and take a memorable photo behind the wheel of the armored car. There is even more “hardware” at the street exposition located in front of the pavilion entrance. There you can also eat porridge and drink compote at the field kitchen.

Meanwhile, in the pavilion, combatants from Rosgvardiya are providing first aid to a wounded soldier. Artificial ventilation, indirect heart massage, tourniquet application... the life of the mannikin playing the role of the wounded is saved. Anyone can try to do the same on February 23–24 at the EXPOFORUM.

The organizer of the cultural and patriotic event “The People’s Power” is ANO Perspektiva.

Admission to the Festival is by a free patriot ticket, with pre-registration on the project website.

On the days of the event, free shuttle buses run from Moskovskaya Metro Station to the EXPOFORUM.
