Support of convention&exhibition industry

Under the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a roadmap will be developed for the restoration of the convention&exhibition industry. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the corresponding order.

As part of the new roadmap, 15 exhibitions and fairs will be organized until 2025.

The decree updates the regulations for the creation of modern convention&exhibition infrastructure, provides for financial support and simplifies customs procedures for partners from friendly countries.

In his speech, Mikhail Mishustin mentioned that despite external constraints and the effects of the pandemic, Russian platforms have been in demand for the exchange of practices and conclusion of business contracts.

In 2022, St. Petersburg International Economic Forum was attended by representatives of over 130 countries, and more than 600 foreign companies showcased their products at Innoprom international industrial exhibition.

“Now it is especially important for enterprises to restore ties and channels for the sale of goods, and the government will continue to support such formats of business interaction,” assured the Prime Minister.

Order No. 1957-r of July 16, 2022 can be found here.

By the end of 2022, an assessment of the current legislation in the field of convention&exhibition and trade fair activities will be completed, and a decision concerning a separate federal law will be made. It is expected that by the end of October this year, the government will approve the Strategy for the development of the convention&exhibition and fair industry until 2030.
