SPIEF-2022 Comes to an End — ExpoForum International Makes Conclusions

June 18 is the closing day of the 25th anniversary Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum. This year ExpoForum International and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs have signed a record number of agreements — 11.

The 25th anniversary SPIEF is seven hundreds of agreements almost six trillion rubles worth, 14,000 participants from 131 countries, 214 events of the Business Program, 1,500 speakers and 3,400 media representatives.

This year the Economic Forum has started a day earlier for ExpoForum International. On June 14, Sergey Voronkov, CEO of the company, President of RUEF, took part in the 5th Russian-Chinese Business Forum. A traditional event is held by the Chinese Business Center Association with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the PRC Consulate General in St. Petersburg and the Government of the city. The St. Petersburg State Economic University and ExpoForum International act as operators.

The first SPIEF day started for ExpoForum International with signings. At 9:00 on June 15, at the official booth of St. Petersburg, Sergey Voronkov, CEO of the company, and Sergey Azarenkov, CEO of SPb SBI Convention and Exhibition Bureau, agreed to continue the long-term partnership. That signing became the first in the history of the 25th St. Petersburg Forum. Also, on another day ExpoForum International agreed to cooperate with the Creonomics Cluster.

Alexander Ulyanov, CEO of EXPOFORUM’s subsidiary NEVA International, signed the agreements with Marine Instrument Engineering Corporation JSC and with the Russian Znanie Society.

Being CEO of ExpoForum International and President of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, Sergey Voronkov concluded trilateral agreements with the Russian Znanie Society, the Made In Russia National Brand and ANO National Priorities.

As another matter, RUEF made an agreement with QazExpoCongress National Company JSC.

In total, 11 cooperation agreements were concluded in the framework of SPIEF-2022 — and it’s a record number!

ExpoForum International took part in presentation events dedicated to the company’s own projects at the St. Petersburg booth. The company presented the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, the AGRORUS International Agro-Industrial Exhibition, the Neva Exhibition and the Russian Industrialist International Forum.

Sergey Voronkov participated in SPIEF-2022 Business Program events as a speaker. On June 18, he took part in the discussion session arranged by the St. Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development “Tourism as an Influence on the Image, Socio-Economic Development, and Investment Attractivity of a Region”. Sergey Voronkov explained why development of infrastructure for business tourism was so important for the country’s economy. 

On the same day Sergey Voronkov took part in the roundtable discussion “Northwest Russia as a Paradise for Industrial Tourism: Analysis of Business Cases and Best Practices of Successful Regions”. The scope of the topic addressed the issue of active development of the travel industry in Russia caused by the pandemic and the changed external circumstances caused by sanctions. In the framework of the discussion the incentives for development of the industry, particularly new recreation formats, including socially responsible environmental and industrial tourism, were discussed. The company’s CEO also presented the Russian Industrialist International Forum and invited the speakers to participate there. It will be recalled that the project will take place on November 29 – December 1 in EXPOFORUM.
