St. Petersburg will unite active youth in the «national consensus territory»
More than 1,200 people will take part in the Forum «St. Petersburg as the National Consensus Territory». The Northern Capital will host the event for the 12th time.
The grand opening of the 12th Youth Forum «St. Petersburg as the National Consensus Territory» will take place on September 6 at the EXPOFORUM Convention and Exhibition Center. The organizer is St. Petersburg’s Committee on Interethnic Relations and Migration Policy Implementation.
At the Forum, one of the main themes will be popularization of family values, which is especially important in the Year of the Family in Russia.
The event is held for representatives of young people aged 18 to 35 years, among the participants: activists of national cultural and public youth organizations, fellow countrymen and Cossack communities of St. Petersburg, students of St. Petersburg universities.
Experts in interethnic relations, public figures, and government representatives will be the speakers.
For the guests of the Forum, the organizers have prepared 20 various master classes ranging from Russian folk dancing and cooking to calligraphy and playing national instruments.
The key item of the program will be the event in the format «Public Talk with a well-known youth leader of public opinion», whose name will be kept secret.
On this day, participants will also enjoy the concert of folk creative groups from the Northern Capital, a large-scale flash mob dedicated to the Year of the Family and bright photo zones. Each guest will receive a keepsake from the organizers. Lunch is provided for the participants.
Broadcasting the event will be organized in the official group of St. Petersburg’s Committee on Interethnic Relations and Migration Policy Implementation on the VKontakte social network.
Participants in the event must be registered on the project website.
The Forum is mainly aimed at uniting young representatives of various peoples living in St. Petersburg, for strengthening creative, cultural and business ties, forming respectful attitude among young people towards all nationalities, ethnicities and religions, demonstrating traditional values focused on respect, understanding and acceptance of the diversity of cultures concentrated in St. Petersburg.
