ExpoForum International has won the EFEA Awards of the Russian event industry in the category Organizer of the Year at the regional level. The award ceremony took place on January 20, as part of the XI Eurasian Event Forum (EFEA), which professionals call “the Oscar of the event industry”.

At the award ceremony, the results of the rating compiled by the number of mentions in Russian media publications of forums, exhibitions, congresses, festivals, event organizers, and event venues were announced.

ExpoForum International organizes about 40 own projects that take the top lines of the profile events rating: the Saint Petersburg International Gas Forum, the Russian International Energy Forum, the International Forum Russian Industrialist, and others. The organization is also the operator of ExpoForum, the most modern Congress and Exhibition Centre in Russia. In the past year, 119 hybrid projects and 47 online events took place at the venue, in total more than 5,000 exhibitors took part in them. The Congress and Exhibition Centre was visited by 500,000 people from 11 countries and 78 regions of Russia.

Moreover, the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, which is annually held at ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre, has won in the category Project of the Year. In 2021, it became the world’s first project of post-pandemic time in offline mode, with full-time presence of top officials of states.

“I am sure that live human communication is the best vaccine for formation of collective social immunity. This is especially significant in the congress and exhibition field, when you can not only tell, but also show the result of your work, make sure of your suppliers’ reliability, find new partners. Therefore, traditional “live communication” events is the indispensable format, which, fortunately, is gradually being restored,” summed up Sergey Voronkov, CEO of ExpoForum International.

In 2022, the EFEA Awards have awarded to companies and projects at the federal and regional levels in five categories: Project of the Year, Organizer of the Year, Discovery of the Year, Venue of the Year, and Event of the Year, as well as special awards were given.
