Today, Sergei Voronkov, President of RUEF President and Chairman of the Commission for Congress and Exhibition Activities of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP), took part in the Report and Election Congress of RSPP timed to coincide with the association’s 30th anniversary.

During the event, S.G. Voronkov appealed to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. In his speech, the RUEF President emphasized the need to support the congress and exhibition activities in the country and provide the industry with a special status.

Sergei Voronkov pointed out the importance of the industry for the country's economy, its potential, and proposed specific measures for its development: the adoption of an industry law, the introduction of Expo ID in order to facilitate the participation of foreigners in congress and exhibition events in Russia, the introduction of Expo tax free to support foreign exhibitors, and mutual recognition of vaccination certificates.

In response to Sergei Voronkov’s appeal, Vladimir Putin promised to analyze the proposed tools for the development of the industry and make appropriate decisions for its support.
