Annually the Business Program of the Forum is developed in cooperation with the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment of the Russian Federation and includes a set of discussions on all topic areas of the Ecology National Project prepared in the framework of the Presidential Decree On National Goals and Strategic Objectives of the Development of the Russian Federation for the Period up to 2024.

In the framework of the Business Program of the Ecology Forum the first results of implementation of the reform in field of waste treatment were summed up, the issues of development of the Russian water utility industry and introduction of ecological technologies in field of water and sewage utilities, global climate change, alternative energy, forest conservation and preservation of biological diversity on the planet. The plenary session “Priorities for Russia’s Environmental Development – Improvement” was a key event where shaping the models of sustainable environmental development in Russia and interaction of authorities, business and society in order to solve environmental problems were discussed. Nikolai Valuyev, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Ecology and Environmental Protection,  acted as a moderator; Dmitry Kobylkin, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, Olga Timofeeva, Deputy Chair of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Svetlana Radionova, Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources and others were among speakers. On the margins of the Forum 20 business events took place visited by about 300 participants.

The display of promising environmental technologies and equipment included such sections as water processing and water purification, water supply and water disposal, waste recycling and utilization, operational environmental monitoring and control, eco-consulting, national and regional government programs, eco-projects of socially responsible leaders of economy. The Exhibition was attended by companies of the global scale: McDonald’s, Umnaya SREDA Eco Plant, TKO-Inform, Flottweg, CityAir, NPF Raimet research and production company, Sovplym, Svobodny Sokol Lipetsk Pipe Company, Iplast and others.

Special interest of visitors was provoked with the Ant City exposition by Mindo, a company that produces stands that imitate cities with ants of various kinds, where insects live like people moving into flats, offloading cars with grains, going to the pumping station, making stocks of food in store displays, taking out their trash to certain places and even visiting the oceanarium. The enterprise designs and implements environmentally focused projects.

Also, all eyes were engaged in a bright green public works truck MK2000 made by the  Kalinin Machine-Building Plant and designed for vacuum cleaning of hard coated surfaces such as roads, pavements, squares, etc. The machine can sweep off and collect trash, place it in a special container and deliver to the disposal facility.

As per tradition, upon completion of the Forum the final document was prepared – the Public Resolution on Environmental Protection and Ecological Development of the Russian Federation that will be forwarded to the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and specialized federal authorities.
