«The gas piston power plant replaces foreign analogues and operates both on natural gas and associated gas, which is very important for our country, the leader in gas and oil production», said Oleg Bessonov, CEO of JSC «RUMO GROUP» at the presentation.

The basis of the power plant is the gas piston internal combustion engine, with its capacity of 1,000 kW, of its own patented design.

Besides, the power part of the piston compressor 6PK32 with a capacity of 4 MW, manufactured at the plant, is presented at the exhibition stand of JSC «RUMO», which is produced by order for PJSC «Gazprom». JSC «RUMO» is the only company in Russia with technological capabilities to produce piston compressors with a capacity of over 1 MW.

The equipment created by JSC «RUMO» will allow diversifying gas consumption in the domestic market using Russian equipment, including for generating electricity and cogeneration for enterprises of the agro-industrial complex, converting rolling stock and civil river and marine fleets to gas-powered fuels, including LNG. All equipment is manufactured exclusively from domestic materials and components, including casting, forgings, and electrical components.
