The best of the Atlases!
The fanfare has died down: XXII International Equestrian Exhibition Hipposphere has come to an end. On the final day of the exhibition, awards were given to the best...
One of them was devoted to Atlases of Equestrian World – an exhibition of draft and heavy harness horses. The following horse breeds took part: The Soviet Heavy Draft, Vladimir, Belarus Harness Horse, Tinker, and Drumhorse.
Two horses of the Tinker and Drumhorse breeds were the first to be invited to the field: Chester and Midnight Joy. Chester is incredibly beautiful, though it is small. It made an excellent public appearance: a pony, but among its breed it is a true Atlas. Midnight Joy showed his obedience and stateliness, its behavior seemed impeccable to the jury, and it won the championship.
The second to enter the field were the trio from the Belorus Harness Horse: Zorka, Oktan, and Gradus. This breed is distinguished by its special endurance. The first place for impeccable behavior and appearance was earned by Oktan, the second – Zorka, and the third – Gradus.
They were followed by horses of the Vladimir breed, which is notable for its incredible ability to work. These horses in the postwar years helped people to restore the USSR national economy. In this “battle” the leader was Vagant, the second position was taken by Svyatoslav, and the third one was Otvaga.
The stands froze when the last stallion Rubezh entered the field; it represented the Soviet heavy draft breed. Rubezh won all hearts!
Hipposphere in 2021 summed up all the results, the guests in 4 days had time to visit the exhibitions and workshops, to see more than 20 breeds. Next year the Exhibition will open its doors to participants and guests again. And once again we will be able to see horses, the beautiful creatures, the friends of human.
