The key theme of the III International Construction Championship in 2023 is “New Technologies”. Thus, construction technologies are the connecting link between all the implemented blocks of the Championship: competitions, business program, exhibition, special projects, and more. The total area of the pavilions for working and engineering competencies is 26 thousand square meters.

Expoforum has become a place of attraction for the construction industry community represented by experts from government, business and science. Representatives of 26 member countries of the CIS, SCO, BRICS, EAEU, ASEAN and others are also invited to the event. In the course of the Championship, meetings of working groups on construction, infrastructure and housing and communal services will be held within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commissions. It is planned to integrate the VII International Conference “Development of the Institute of Construction Expertise”, the II Eurasian Construction Congress and the International Summit on the Development of the Construction Industry.

The competitive block of the III International Construction Championship in 2023 is represented by 25 individual and team categories, including five new ones, in three areas: construction, facility design and construction project management.

This year the Championship is also open to schoolchildren – for the first time, a School League created with the support of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN is being held as part of the event. Four categories are available for 8–10 grade students. Having made their choice, the high school students should solve a case dedicated to the design of the Russian cities of the future and their individual parts in order to create the most comfortable living conditions for people. The competition for a place in the League was 12 teams per place.

The Student League of the International Construction Championship has been successfully held for the second year already. In 2023, 19 categories are available to students of specialized universities and colleges.

A record number of participants take part in the finals of the Championship: more than 1,100 competitors from Russia and abroad; their skills are assessed by about 350 experts. The total prize fund of the Championship is more than 53 million rubles, of which 14.1 million rubles are the Student League fund, 1.2 million rubles are the School League fund. Furthermore, the winners of the School League will receive additional points for the Unified State Exam for admission to leading universities in Russia.

As part of the business program of the III International Construction Championship, about 70 business events will be held, where issues of finding solutions to strategically important tasks in the development of construction in Russia and abroad will be discussed. The concept of the program approved eight key tracks: strategic, international, scientific, youth, professional, technological, regional and business track.

The Championship will feature the premiere of the documentary film “Megaprojects of Russia”, filmed on the initiative of the Russian Ministry of Construction. The idea of creating the film originates from the business program of the II International Construction Championship. Conceptually, the film is dedicated to the construction industry of the present time and its people – construction professionals.

The exhibition of the III International Construction Championship is a large multimedia space dedicated to the history of the construction industry, its goals and plans for the future. Exposition with a total area of 8 thousand square meters is divided into several key zones; the central technology cluster is a vibrant hub of innovation and ingenuity. Guests can also visit the scientific and educational cluster, which presents unique educational opportunities in the industry, professional competitions, internships and additional education programs, an open lecture hall with speeches and master classes by ambassadors of the Championship. Special guests include Ken Young, Fedor and Oscar Konyukhov, and others.

The exhibition begins with the exposition “Petersburg 2.0”. It is dedicated to the new dominants of the Northern Capital and shows how the now iconic locations looked 20 years ago. The exposition includes the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Center. The places the history of which is captured by the photos form an entire tour, while detailed information about the sites is available in multimedia format.

For the first time, the industry event Utilicon and the III International Construction Championship became a single platform for the presentation of the best construction and housing and communal services practices from all over the country. Participants and guests of the event will have an opportunity to get acquainted with innovative materials and technologies, the latest b2b and b2g solutions, infrastructure projects and advanced construction technologies in Russia and abroad. The site brought together leading manufacturers and suppliers, developers and corporate customers, companies presenting advanced ideas and solutions in the field of housing and communal services, construction, reconstruction, landscaping and maintenance of territories, successfully operating in the regions of Russia. The event will become a large-scale industry platform for negotiations and development of cooperation, participation in which lays the foundation for the success of companies and territories for years to come.
