The agreement was concluded for the purposes of networking in the field of international and local promotion of business tourism, the congress and exhibition industry of St. Petersburg on a stable and long-term basis, based on the need to combine the efforts of state and business structures in the field of congress and exhibition business and the meeting industry.

On the part of Congress and Exhibition Bureau, the strategic agreement was signed by Ekaterina Volkhonskaya, General Director of the institution, on the part of ExpoForum International it was signed by Sergey Voronkov, President of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, General Director of the company.

“We have probably the highest conversion rate in the world in terms of won congresses. In 2020, my colleagues and I submitted applications for 23 projects, in 2021 – 38, 7 world congresses became winning ones. This is all thanks to our joint cooperation!” Sergey Voronkov says.

Ekaterina Vokhonskaya supported the partner and confirmed that due to joint efforts St. Petersburg surpassed Moscow in congress and exhibition activities.
