“Convention and Exhibition Industry Has Moved from Competition to Efficient Cooperation”

This was pointed out on January 18 by Sergey Voronkov, General Director of the EXPOFORUM International and President of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Eurasian Event Forum at PetroCongress.

“The large players of the Russian convention and exhibition industry: the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, the Roscongress Foundation and the National Convention Bureau are uniting to solve industrial issues and are jointly developing and signing documents and appeals important for the industry development. The same was during the pandemic and work at the industry development strategy, which in both cases led to positive results,” noted Sergey Voronkov in his welcoming address to the guests and participants of the event.

At the subsequent press conference, the expert pointed out the trends of the convention and exhibition industry, including the 30 % breakthrough growth of all relevant projects, developing new subjects of events and participation of state in their arrangement, development of the professional corporate forum format, championships of professional excellence from industry specific to national levels, as well as of the new international links.

The 13th Eurasian Event Forum (EFEA) takes place on January 17–19, 2024 in St. Petersburg . At a single site the event unites event industry leaders, business and incentive tourism experts, and specialists in regional marketing.
