Want to Get a Visa? EXPOFORUM Will Help!

Since January 2021 residents of 52 countries will be able to get special unified electronic visas to entry Russia. We’ll tell about this list, what is special about it, and what can be done if your state is not there...

Differences from a common visa

The main benefit is processing without consulates and embassies involved, i.e. via the internet. A pilot project of single-entry electronic visas started as early as three years ago. They could be received by foreign citizens who came to St. Petersburg, the Leningrad Region, the Kaliningrad Region and Vladivostok. Meanwhile, tourists never went beyond those regions.

Who can get

And now the states that took part in the experiment are included in a final list. All except Qatar, because there has been a visa-free regime in place between our countries since that February. Now an electronic visa is available for trips all across the country, and the period of staying in Russia will change: it used to be 8 days, but now it will be prolonged up to 16 days. The list is available on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It will be possible to entry the Russian Federation through approved entry points and travel all across the country. It’s an single entry visa with a period of validity of 60 calendar days.

Processing

To get an electronic visa one need to fill in the form on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, send passport data and scans of required documents. It can be used for tourism, business, humanitarian and guest purposes.

How to get a visa if your country is not in the list

It’s not worth losing your heart. For example, EXPOFORUM International can help get a single entry visa for participants of congresses, exhibitions and forums (for citizens of the countries that didn’t make it to the list). The Tourist Department of the company will send their clients, potential ‘tourists’ an invitation for a target tourism-type visa for free – it’s a visa to visit congresses, exhibitions and forums. Then specialists of the department will book a hotel, send a voucher and an invitation for visa processing.

This visa includes the same package of documents as a standard tourist visa with quick processing in the consulate. Besides, in a visa centre (or a consulate) a guest can note the fact that he/she will actually come to the exhibition or the congress. It’s processed much faster than a business visa.

Services of the ExpoForum-International Tourist Department include not only booking of accommodation as per special tariffs, but also organization of incentive tours, excursions in Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, preparation of transport services, out of town leisure, meals, banquets, sessions and conferences beyond the Convention and Exhibition Centre, as well as visits to various entertainment events.

Thus, residents of 113 countries can entry Russia using a simplified regime: 52 as per the single entry visa list and residents of 61 countries Russia has a bilateral visa-free deal.
