A good product at AGRORUS Fair easily finds a buyer

Even the sun rejoiced at the anniversary of the AGRORUS Fair. A river of concentrated citizens flowed through the rows in warm and gentle rays to energetic melodies from the stage... The early, most impatient ones. The inviting smells of kebabs, pickles, smoked meats, cheeses... Music, hubbub, bargaining… are hovering between the vendor rows.

We stopped at the honey tent and fell into talk. It turned out that the hereditary beekeeper Alexey Kuboenko is the same age as the AGRORUS Fair: “First it was Uncle Vova who went to AGRORUS. For the first time I came to you back at Lenexpo Exhibition Complex when I was fifteen years old.”

The honey from Igor Lushnikov’s private farm is known in Karelia, St. Petersburg, Leningrad and Murmansk regions: “We have a big apiary: 2,000 hives, over 300 boards. This was not a good year for beekeepers. May was rainy, July was dry. We harvested about 40 percent less honey than usually. But it is enough for us and enough for you. You are welcome!”

El-Natural.ru Farmer’s Foods are sold from a white car. There’s a lot of tasting: “Our farm is not even three years old yet," Tatiana says. – It started when my husband had the idea of creating a restaurant of own products. We started with the farm. Three years ago there were 13 cows, we also participated in the AGRORUS Exhibition, we stood in the pavilion. There are now 25 cows of Dutch and Jersey breeds, and there are goats now. Only 10 people work on the farm. We have now brought 20 kinds of cheese, that's not the whole assortment – there just wasn’t enough space. We also have soft cheese and moldy cheese. Help yourselves, take your pick!”

“Good people, just look at the fruits and vegetables we brought to you from Kuban,” a Cossack Larisa Nevolya urges. “This is the first time I've come to AGRORUS. A friend of mine asked me to come. There she is, near by, selling fish and caviar from Kamchatka and Murmansk.”

“Look at all those Kuban eggplants, peppers, and garlic! It’s all thanks to our driver Grigory Ivanovich. By the way, today is a trucker day! It was all his efforts that Yalta onions, watermelons from Mikhailovskaya village, plums, and apples Glory to the Victor came to you 3,000 kilometers away. And those wonderful tomatoes. We call this variety ‘button’ and these huge ones ‘Baba Oksana’.”

Come and pick delicacies, pickles, and fresh vegetables! AGRORUS Fair is opened at ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre until September 5.
