Expoforum added to the Russian national register of sports venues

The RF Ministry of Sports has added Pavilion “F,” ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre to the Russian National Register of Sports Venue

Now, ExpoForum is free to host exciting sporting events in 77 different disciplines, including world-class competitions in professional tennis, artistic gymnastics and the martial arts.

Pavilion’ F” is equipped with all of the essential infrastructure: locker rooms, showers, massage rooms, officials’ quarters. It is designed to handle sporting events with a spectator number of more than 5,000.

Already today, ExpoForum International, operator of the convention-and-exhibition centre, is busy holding talks with the leading organisers of high-profile sporting competitions. This April, the venue will host the annual Governor’s Cup and Russian Championship in ballroom dancing, organised by the St. Petersburg Sports Federation for Ballroom Dance.

Previously, ExpoForum’s Pavilion “F” had earned a certificate of compliance from the Russian Association of Sports Venues as a multifunctional athletic installation. The debut athletic event hosted by the venue was the “I Choose Ports!” campaign, showcasing roughly 80 different disciplines. In November 2015, the convention-and-exhibition centre successfully hosted Russia’s Open National Ballroom Dance Championships – Happy Dance 2015.
