Expoforum was shown at the Berlin film festival

Expoforum facilities were shown in an episode of a movie by Alexei German Jr. at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival held on 5-15 February. The movie was selected to participate in the main competition and won the Silver Bear for Best Cinematography.

One scene of ‘Under Electric Clouds’ was shot at Expoforum in winter 2013. The gallery of the multipurpose convention and exhibition entre appears in several fragments of the movie dedicated to Russia in the near future and its people.

According to Jean-Christophe Simon, CEO of the German distribution company Films Boutique engaged in international sales of the movie, at the premiere at the Palais des Berlinale, it aroused great interest among the audience: “The movie is visually very powerful, full of metaphors, and, as I have noticed, it deeply impressed a lot of people”.

‘Under Electric Clouds’, alongside with 40 new Russian cinema and animation products, was also presented at the joint Cinema Fund booth during the European Film Market (EFM). At this leading site in terms of Berlinale movie promotion, the movie received invitations from a dozen different film festivals and was sold to all the key areas.

The fourth full-length movie by Alexei German Jr. was made by Metrafilms Movie Company under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
