EXPOFORUM International and the National Association for Technology Transfer have become partners
On November 02, at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, the cooperation agreement was signed between EF-International and the National Association for Technology Transfer.
The document was signed by Aleksander Gorokhov, Deputy General Director for Commerce at EXPOFORUM International, and Aleksey Filimonov, Executive Director at the National Association for Technology Transfer. The agreement has been concluded in the interests of developing technology transfer from science to business.
«Without active interaction between the scientific community and the business one, the process of introducing advanced technologies can take years. And then this technology will no longer be a breakthrough, but outdated. To avoid this, we need a direct dialogue between research organizations and universities with the business medium. Convention and exhibition events are the most efficient and optimal platforms and tools for building such a dialogue», commented Sergey Voronkov, CEO of EXPOFORUM International, on the agreement.
«For the Association, an organization that systematically deals with development of technology transfer and cooperation between science and business, it is very important to take an active part in convention and exhibition events, forming the agenda in terms of developing innovations in large business and interacting with partners and scientific institutions», said Aleksey Filimonov.
The National Association for Technology Transfer (NATT) was established in May 2017 by the non-governmental development Institute «Innopraktika» and the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent). Among main activities of the Association: development of the digital tool – the technology transfer platform (https://digital-natt.ru/), market monitoring, expert supporting legislative initiatives, development of educational content methodologies, implementation of educational programs for technology transfer centres of leading universities and companies, and much more. The NATT members are key participants in the technology transfer ecosystem in Russia. As of October 2023, these are 88 organizations, including development institutes, leading universities and research centres, state corporations and leading industry companies.
