Very often, the pet owners feed their fosterlings according to the principle «The best is for children» and give them too much meat and unhealthy products. That is why the allergic reactions of cats and dogs occur more often now. Along with that, many owners can not even imagine that the wrong or unsuitable nutrition is far from being the first reason of animal allergies. And not even the second one.

Ekaterina Bukharova, Head of the Breeder-Marketing of the Moscow Branch of «Grand-Alfa» (the Russian manufacturer of Best Dinner and Edel food), said that when developing the feeding regimes, especially of the correctional and dietary ones, the company specialists have paid special attention to research of the issue of allergy progress with cats and dogs. For instance, during a conversation with a well-known veterinary dermatologist from Petersburg Vladimir Ruppel, Ekaterina found out that most commonly the pet owners see the allergy reason in the bad choice of food and nutrition faults. But in reality, number one reason for allergy is flea dermatitis, an ordinary flea bite. The second reason is environmental impact (plant pollen, household chemicals, pathogenic microbial flora). Food allergy only takes the third place (about 17% of references to doctors).

Another misbelief is that chicken is the main allergic agent.

«The most often food allergic agents are beef, corn, gluten, milk products and only then the chicken protein comes, specified Ekaterina Bukharova. That’s why in our foodstuff we have fully excluded corn and wheat, and have left rice and husked oat flakes».
