Address by Sergey Voronkov, Director General of ExpoForum International, on the occasion of the Day of lifting the siege of Leningrad

Address by Sergey Voronkov, Director General of ExpoForum International, on the occasion of the Day of lifting the siege of Leningrad.

Dear citizens of St. Petersburg,

January 27 is a special date for each of us. On this day in 1944 the defenders of Leningrad completely liberated the city from the Nazi siege. 900 days and nights of incredible courage, fortitude and heroism, despite hunger, cold and death.

Every family in St. Petersburg has its own story of heroism. For the EXPOFORUM family, this is the story of the Pulkovo Heights, the site of the heaviest battles, from where the enemy regularly launched artillery strikes against Leningrad. Here every bump, every path, every slope keeps the memory of those terrible days.

Happy Great holiday to you, dear citizens of St. Petersburg! Peaceful sky over your head, long and happy years! Be worthy of the memory of your ancestors and the fallen heroes of Leningrad!

Sergey Voronkov, Director General of ExpoForum International, President of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs
