The Russian International Energy Forum opened at the EXPOFORUM

Modeling the country’s energy potential, modernization of power grids, digitalization in the energy sector, import substitution, international cooperation are among key topics at the RIEF-2023, which takes place at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre on April 18–20.

The key event of the congress program is the Plenary Session “Energy Security of Russia and Consequences of Shifting the Vector of Development of International Cooperation in the Fuel and Energy Sector”, with participation of a representative of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation.

Other important events include the Conference “Modeling the Future in Development of the Country’s Energy Potential”, the Round Table “Ensuring Quality and Reliability in Retail Electricity Markets”, the Round Table “Ways of Implementing Transition of the Russian Economy to Low-Carbon Energy”, the Conference “International Cooperation in Energy (Russia-Kazakhstan-Central Asia)”.

Together with the projects that take place on the same site with the RIEF (“Welding”, “Rustproofing”, “Housing and Communal Services of Russia”), the business program includes more than 40 events. Their schedule can be found at the link.

One of core events is the presentation day of the Department of Energy of the Exploration and Production Unit (BRD) of Gazprom Neft PJSC “Innovative Equipment and Technologies for Energy Facilities of the Oil and Gas Industry”. On March 19, Gazprom Neft PJSC will also sign strategic agreements on cooperation in the field of import substitution with Russian manufacturers of generating equipment and energy service companies.

Within the RIEF, the Exhibition “Energy Industry and Electrical Engineering”, organized jointly with “RESTEC”, is traditionally held. There are over 260 companies in the exposition, the key participants are: “Gazprom Neft”, “Prosoft-Systems”, Cheboksary Electrical Equipment Plant, “PLC Technology”, “PIK PROGRESS”, “TD NPP SPETSKABEL”, “Matritsa”, “Radar MMS”, “Accu-Fertrib”, “Transneft – Verkhnyaya Volga”, “Sonel”, “Inbres”, etc.

Among the novelties, there are hydraulic station using domestic components under the state import substitution program (“TurboMashProm”), industrial high-capacity pellet burners (“Aviterm”), transformer equipment and panel radiators (Ural Transformer Plant), “Digital City” (“Radar MMS”), domestic electric motors (“Omek Motors Rus”), domestic electrical measuring devices (“ProfKiP”), developments for efficient electricity metering (“Matritsa”), combined burner devices for steam and hot water boilers ( “Transneft – Verkhnyaya Volga” JSC). The multi-project Business Contacts Center will bring together over 100 industry-specific backbone enterprises, including “Admiralteyskie Verfi”, “Silovye Mashiny”, “Rusmashenergo”, “Nevsky Zavod”. Their representatives will hold over 1,200 meetings and negotiations with suppliers and manufacturers of goods and services in the field of electric power industry, thermal generation, automation of technological process control systems and other areas.
