St. Petersburg International Health Forum is open

On October 4, the opening ceremony of the XI St. Petersburg International Health Forum (SPIHF-2023) took place at the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Center.

Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Oleg Ergashev read out a welcoming speech from Governor Aleksandr Beglov to the participants and guests of the Forum.

“The St. Petersburg International Health Forum is a key event in the Northwestern Federal District in the field of healthcare. Every year it brings together leading experts and scientists, representatives of the business community and medical practitioners. Russian President Vladimir Putin called preserving the health of Russians an absolute priority for the state. St. Petersburg rightfully occupies a leading position among Russian regions in the field of health care. The city pays close attention to improving the healthcare system, developing a commitment to a healthy lifestyle, training qualified medical personnel, and introducing advanced technologies and treatment methods,” Beglov’s statement says.

Executive Director of the Association “Healthy Cities, Districts and Villages” Tatiana Shestakova welcomed the participants and spoke on the results of the association’s activities for the year. Now it includes over 150 cities from 31 regions of Russia.

In conclusion, General Director of ExpoForum International Sergey Voronkov gave a speech.

“Expoforum is the basic site for more than 10 events in the healthcare sector. The St. Petersburg International Health Forum is an intersectoral event that combines the widest range of topics and formats,” Voronkov said.

More than 60 events of the congress program will take place at SPIHF-2023. 12 of them have been accredited by the Coordinating Council for the Development of Continuing Medical and Pharmaceutical Education (CME Council) in the specialties of the target audience. More than 6,500 specialists from 10 countries are expected to attend the Forum.

55 companies from 18 regions of Russia, Belarus and India will take part in the Medical Industry exhibition as part of the Forum.

SPIHF-2023 takes place from October 4 to 6. On the event days, free shuttle buses run from the Moskovskaya metro station to the Expoforum.
