In the qualifying round, the jury considered in total 164 hotels from two regions: 36 hotels of the category “5 stars”, and 128 – “4 stars”. Experts assessed compliance with the category declared and the actual quality of services.

The next stage of the award is inspection of the hotels for compliance with the evaluation criteria developed by experts of the professional hotel community. Winners in nominations of the Horeca UP Awards will be announced in autumn of 2023.

The Horeca UP Awards is a public initiative. For hotels and restaurants, as well as their employees, participation is free. According to the organizers, the contest peculiarity is that competitors not only recognize their colleagues’ merits, but also publicly announce it.
