“Caramel Catering” has fed the best Russian restaurateurs

On April 7, the results of the jubilee National Restaurant Award WHERETOEAT RUSSIA 2023 were announced at the Russian Ethnographic Museum in Saint Petersburg. The wonderful party was accompanied by the buffet, meals for the guests of which was cooked by the “Caramel Catering” Company, part of the ExpoForum Group of Companies.

“Feeding the best Russian restaurateurs is a responsible and exciting task for any catering company”, said Victoria Ivanova, CEO of “Caramel Catering”. “The ceremony scale was quite impressive: 800 guests to be served by 50 waiters. 10 types of canapes and 4 types of petit fours were served. We have cooked 12,800 canapes for the guests of the event”. The organizers and guests of the ceremony were satisfied with the delicious snacks.

There is no “catering” nomination in the restaurant award yet. But Saint Petersburg restaurateurs performed well in all other sections.

The “Birch” Restaurant from Saint Petersburg (its chef is Hezret-Arslan Berdiev) has won the main award. Let us recall that “Birch” was recognized as the best restaurant in Russia for the second time: the restaurant team won its first All-Russian victory at WHERETOEAT RUSSIA 2021. So the antique silver bowl, the main trophy of the Award, returned to “Birch” from the Moscow restaurant “Twins Garden” that led the All-Russian rating in 2022.

The victory in the “Chef of the Year” special nomination has been won by Vladimir Mukhin, Brand Chef of “White Rabbit Family” (Moscow). The partner of the nomination was the “Technoflot” company.

The “Sommelier of the Year” title was awarded to Evgenia Nazimova, sommelier of the Moscow restaurants “Maya” and “Jun”. Evgenia has twice been awarded the title of the best sommelier at WHERETOEAT Moscow (in 2020 and 2022). Within the All-Russian award, this is her first victory. The partner of the special nomination was the LADOGA company. 

The winner in the “Bar of the Year” special nomination has become “Nobody Knows I Suppose” (Novosibirsk). The partner of the nomination was “Barrister Gin”.

Ivan and Sergey Berezutsky (Moscow) have been awarded the special prize “For Contribution to Development of the Restaurant Industry”.

Aleksey Grebenshchikov, pastry chef of the Saint Petersburg restaurant “Bourgeois Bohemians”, was recognized as the best in the new special nomination “Pastry Chef of the Year”. The partner of the special nomination is “Cacao Barry”.

For “Bourgeois Bohemians”, this was not the only victory in special nominations: the restaurant also has won the “Media Choice” prize.

The “Restaurateur of the Year” title has been awarded to Anton Pinsky (Pinskiy & Co, Moscow). The partner of the special nomination was the Volgorechensk Fish Farm.

“Cafe Pushkin” (Moscow) has won the “Legend Restaurant” (another new special nomination within WHERETOEAT RUSSIA 2023).

Vladislav Dikhtenko from the restaurant “Co-Co Chalet” (Sochi, Krasnaya Polyana) has been awarded in the nomination “Waiter of the Year according to Netmonet”.

In the “ULTIMA Best” special nomination, which was presented by “ULTIMA Yandex Food” the partner of the Award, the “EVA” restaurant (Moscow) has won. The separate prize called “Bright Start of Delivery” has been awarded to “GRECCO” from Saint Petersburg.

The award ceremony was held with the support of the Saint Petersburg Committee for Tourism Development.
