The project united several tens of thousands football fans, sportsmen and amateurs, and the Lenexpo Exhibition Complex became one of the most visited venues in St. Petersburg within the framework of the city public campaign «THE CITY IS READY!» arranged by the St. Petersburg Government.

The Lenexpo territory hospitably welcomed St. Petersburg residents and football fans from various regions of Russia and foreign states for more than a month. It was possible to watch football here, at the FootBroFest festival venue. Fans watched famous football players on big screens on the summer terrace of the Garage café, overlooking the water area of the Gulf of Finland as well as «Big Restaurant Qin», the biggest in Europe restaurant serving Chinese food. The venue was visited by more than 3,000 people on July 7, the day of Russia vs Croatia match.

Two indoor mini football fields with artificial grass, comfortable changing rooms, shower rooms, stalls for fans and commentator’s booths were specially built by the opening of the Football Fans Festival FootBroFest in the Lenexpo.
The Russia Unites marathon, in which 33 amateur teams participated, was organized using the resources and potentialities of the football center. There were 56 matches. According to drawing of lots, each team played for this or that national team as at the official FIFA World Cup. The fans teams competed for their World Cup, the team of Uruguay fans won it. There were women’s and children’s teams tournaments as well as friends of the Russian national team Football Fan Club «Russia Unites».

The Football Festival in the Lenexpo began on June 14 with the friendly football game Russia Unites vs the selected team of actors from St. Petersburg theaters. Media battle took place on the fields on June 20: 4 teams united St. Petersburg journalists, bloggers and PR experts.

The Lenexpo football center will continue its operations after the end of the Football Fans Festival FootBroFest.

The tense battles of fans were accompanied by performances of impressive cover bands during the whole Festival – they took part in the #Bro_Covertime music marathon. 56 mini concerts took place between football broadcasts, famous hit songs were performed by groups ROCKNGIRLS, Quacks, Dance_&_Joy, Black Fox, Trio EasyTone, SPORTLOTO, James Bond, Mr & Mrs Schmidt, Stereo Band, Saxfull Mood, Wall Street, Coco Сhanel, Griboedov Band and Shabanova Band.

Spectacular fights in the international tournament in mixed martial arts – KINGDOM PROFESSIONAL FIGHT Selection – took place on July 7 in «Big Restaurant Qin», with 24 sportsmen participating in it. There was the fight for the champion title, 9 ranking fights and 1 women’s fight according to the MMA rules.

The ExpoForum International company organized the Football Fans Festival FootBroFest in the Lenexpo.
