In the first part, the orchestra "Tavrichesky" pleased the audience with the world-famous jazz hits of the New World, which were created by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Richard Charles Rogers, Duke Ellington, and the others. Let It Snow, My Funny Valentine, Take the "A" Train, Caravan, In A Sentimental Mood, My Way, Summertime and other compositions did not leave the audience indifferent. The second part of the evening was devoted to Soviet and Russian jazz. Host Alexander Malich noted that jazz penetrated the USSR by untraditional ways – through cartoons, movies and even the media. The musicians played tunes by Andrey Petrov from the movie "The Amphibian Man", "Box of pencils" by Gennady Gladkov, song "I am watery man" by Maxim Dunaevsky, and a hit by Zemfira called "London Skies" from 2011.

Performed by maestro Goloschekin and Kalvarskiy sounded works by Kalvarskiy – "Bagatelle", "the Karelian isthmus", "Kroll Blues" and others. David Goloshchekin demonstrated skillful mastery of several instruments, including a vibraphone – a percussion instrument that sounds particularly interesting in jazz music. Throughout the concert, the music was accompanied by bright video clips from movies, cartoons, records of cities and the nature on the largest screen in St. Petersburg equal to 10*24 m.

The brilliant performance of the musicians was managed by the artistic director and conductor of the Leningrad province Symphony orchestra "Tavrichesky", a people's artist of the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria Mikhail Golikov.
