The XI Russian International Energy Forum has started its work, bringing together several major industry events on the same venue: the International Exhibitions “Energy Industry and Electrical Engineering”, “Welding”, “Housing and Communal Services of Russia”, the International Exhibition-Congress “Rustproofing” and the Saint Petersburg Technical Fair.

Challenges and threats to Russia’s energy security in the context of the new economic and geopolitical reality were discussed today at the plenary session of the Russian Economic Forum.

Today, the average age of teachers training welders is 70 years. About 70 % of the teaching staff are those who are over 60 years old. These data were given on April 18 by Sergey Petrov, Chief of the Head Center for Welding and Welding Technologies for Transport, operating at the Russian University of Transport, at the Exhibition “Welding”, during the plenary session of the congress program “One Step Ahead: the Consequences of Introduction of International Economic Sanctions and Options for Overcoming Them. Strategic Goals in the Welding Industry”.

On April 18, the International Exhibition “Welding” opened at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre. Welding work is demonstrated right in the pavilion, and there are 12 companies from China among the participants.

The only annual congress and exhibition event for specialists in the housing and communal services sector and the largest international industry event in Russia and the CIS Member States, the Exhibition “Housing and Communal Services of Russia”, has started its work at the EXPOFORUM. The event will be open for three days, until April 20.

Advanced anticorrosive systems, equipment for assessing and monitoring the technical condition, and safety controls for work at industrial facilities will be demonstrated at the International Exhibition-Congress “Rustproofing” to be held on April 18–20 at the EXPOFORUM.

Modeling the country’s energy potential, modernization of power grids, digitalization in the energy sector, import substitution, international cooperation are among key topics at the RIEF-2023, which takes place at the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre on April 18–20.
