On February 1, 2023, XXXI International Jewellery Exhibition JUNWEX Petersburg, one of the most anticipated and exciting events of the industry, opened in the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The official opening ceremony was started by Sergey Voronkov, Director General of ExpoForum International, Alexander Gorynia, Chairman of the Jewellers’ Union of the North-West Federal District, and Sergey Vedovsky, President of the Russian Jewellery Trade Club.

Welcoming the guests and participants of the exhibition, Sergey Voronkov emphasized that JUNWEX is a benchmark industry event: “It gathers the main knowledge of the industry trends, the largest and most famous manufacturers; presents and studies novelties; organizes wholesale market and expert evaluation of products,” he said, and expressed confidence that JUNWEX will continue to be the “mirror” and the engine of the jewelry industry development.

Alexander Gorynia congratulated his colleagues with their professional holiday – the International Jeweller’s Day, which was celebrated the day before, on January 31, and noted that despite emerging geopolitical factors, the industry has a great potential for development.

Sergey Vedovsky drew the guests’ attention to the fact that 5 years ago, at this exhibition, members of the Russian Jeweller Trade Club decided to honour the memory of Mikhail Perkhin, Russian jeweller and leading Faberge master who made 28 of the 50 Imperial Easter eggs. In October 2022, the monument was erected at the jeweller’s homeland – in Karelia, on the embankment of Petrozavodsk.

The club’s president expressed gratitude to all colleagues from the jewellery community who took part in the fundraising for the monument, and thanked the Administration of the Republic of Karelia for their assistance in installing it.

Participants in the official opening ceremony cut a symbolic red ribbon, marking the beginning of a long-awaited event for the jewellery industry.

This year EXPOFORUM’s venue showcases new collections of more than 500 brands. Connoisseurs and lovers of jewellery art will witness diamond collections by Kostroma manufacturers, magnificent jewellery by Ural masters, exquisite works by St. Petersburg authors, original craft by Yakut jewellers, amber pieces by Kaliningrad region artists, as well as innovative developments from Asian brands, jewellery with rare colored stones from around the world, and more.

The exhibits include clocks, cutlery, business hospitality and souvenir products, art weapons, and much more.

At the exhibition you can choose gifts for any holiday, including the upcoming Valentine’s Day, Defender of the Fatherland Day and Women’s Day.

Prices at the show are determined by the manufacturer, so they are usually lower than the store prices. Come for gifts for your loved ones, original souvenirs, or to add to your own jewellery collection!

JUNWEX Petersburg is a real treasure trove where anyone can find what they are looking for.

Exhibition open hours: February 1–4 – 11:00 to 19:00, February 5 – 11:00 to 17:00.
